BREAK PROGRAMS

This winter, Carter Learning Adventure invites families to experience a season of growth, joy, and discovery through our Winter Break Therapy & Enrichment Programs. 

❄️ 1. Winter Therapy & Enrichment Camp
Theme: “Warm Hearts, Bright Minds”
Ages: 3–10
Model: 5-day or 2-week camp with daily OT/ST/sensory play sessions.
💡 Activities:

Speech therapy disguised as holiday storytelling and sing-alongs

Occupational therapy through fine motor crafts (snowflake cutting, sensory slime, ornament making)

Movement + balance games led by a PT (mini obstacle course, snowball toss)

Social skill stations: “Sharing & Kindness Workshop”

🎨 2. “Sensory Wonderland” Experience

Theme: A magical sensory exploration for children with autism and sensory challenges
Ages: 2–8

💡 Setup:

Creating themed sensory zones:

❄️ Snow bin play (cotton, rice, textures)

🌈 Light therapy corner

🎶 Sound & rhythm wall

🧩 Quiet tent for regulation

🧠 3. “Brain Builders Winter Lab”

Theme: Keep their brains warm over winter!
Ages: 4–10

💡 Focus:

Cognitive and executive functioning games

Memory, attention, and sequencing tasks (fun worksheets, sensory matching)

Speech therapy integration (language and articulation games)

Social group practice (“team challenges")

💬 4. “Moms Who Care” Winter Support Series

Theme: Helping parents rest, recharge, and connect

💡 Structure:

Weekly Zoom or in-person sessions for moms of neurodiverse kids

Topics: coping strategies, home sensory tools, managing holiday transitions

Include guest therapists or child psychologists
